This high-quality product is manufactured using high grade Alpha Cellulose as the main ingredient in the conservation core, ensuring that it meets or exceeds industry specifications. The conservation quality of the matboard is further enhanced by the strict control of chemical ingredients, pigments for surface paper coloration, and 100% virgin fiber backing paper, buffered with calcium carbonate at a 3% minimum reserve. These features ensure that the matboard meets or exceeds the Library of Congress and Fine Art Trade Guild standards for chemical composition, color fade, and bleed, providing a superior product for custom framing projects.
