At Dundas Tennis Club, we're passionate about providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for tennis enthusiasts of all levels to come together, have fun, and improve their game. Located in the heart of beautiful Dundas Driving Park, our club is a community-based, volunteer-operated organization dedicated to promoting the sport of tennis and fostering a sense of community among our members.
Our Objectives
Our primary objectives are to provide fun and engaging tennis programs that cater to the needs of our membership, encourage entry into the sport and its continuation as a life-long activity, ensure a financially sound operation, plan for continuity in operations and facilities, and advise the City on the condition of the club facilities. We strive to create an environment that is conducive to competitive and respectful play, and an appropriate sharing of our facilities.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of programs and services designed to cater to the diverse needs of our membership. Our weekly programs include junior and adult programs, private lessons, and leagues, as well as tournaments and special events throughout the year. Our experienced and certified coaches and instructors are dedicated to helping our members improve their skills, build confidence, and have fun on the court.
Membership and Programs
Membership is open to all, and we offer a range of membership options to suit different needs and budgets. Our junior programs are designed for children of all ages and skill levels, from beginner lessons to advanced training and competition. Our adult programs cater to players of all levels, from beginner lessons to advanced training and social play. We also offer private lessons with our certified coaches and instructors, as well as leagues and tournaments for those looking for competitive play.
Court Rules and Etiquette
At Dundas Tennis Club, we believe in maintaining a respectful and courteous atmosphere on and off the court. We have established a set of court rules and etiquette guidelines to ensure that all members and guests can enjoy their tennis experience to the fullest. These guidelines include wearing suitable attire, respecting other players and court times, and being mindful of distractions and disruptions.
Our Facilities
Our facilities are located in the beautiful Dundas Driving Park, and offer six hard courts, a clubhouse, and ample parking. Our hours of operation are from 7am to 11pm, May to October, and our courts are available for booking by members through our online system. We also have a reserved court for our Club Pro for lessons and clinics, which can be used by members when it is not being used by the Pro.
History and Celebrations
Dundas Tennis Club has a rich history dating back to 1924, and we're proud to be celebrating our 100-year anniversary in 2024. Throughout the year, we'll be hosting a range of special events and tournaments, including our annual Mixed Doubles, Singles, and Doubles tournaments, as well as our Junior Fun Day, Friday Night Auction and Party, and End of Season Celebration.
