The Drumheller Area Health Foundation serves the greater Town of Drumheller, Alberta, and the surrounding area including Starland County and Wheatland County. We're a passionate group of volunteers dedicated to building a healthier future for our community through impactful healthcare initiatives.

Our Mission

To seek and administer funds for the purchase of equipment and the enhancement of existing programs related to healthcare in Drumheller and the surrounding area.

Areas of Focus

Our board reviews funding requests from various medical units associated with the Drumheller Health Centre, prioritizing:

• Enhanced Patient Experience: Improving the overall patient journey through initiatives such as comfortable waiting rooms and patient engagement programs.

• Learning and Advancement: Investing in programs that support medical professionals in continuous learning and development.

• Living Well & Staying Well: Promoting preventative health initiatives and chronic disease management programs.

Impactful Projects

Through the generous support of our community, we've been able to facilitate:

• Acquisition of critical medical equipment like CT scans, ultrasounds, and cardiac monitors.
• Purchase of specialized surgical and diagnostic equipment.
• Enhancement of patient care through the establishment of a Healing Garden and Palliative Care facilities.
• Support for specialized programs like the Opening Minds Through Art initiative for continuing care residents.
