Our Story

At Terra Cotta Clothing, our story began with a passion for fashion and a vision to create high-quality, stylish clothing that makes women feel confident and beautiful. Our journey started in 1985, when our founder, Barbara Starr, opened Terra Cotta in Los Angeles, California. With a degree in fashion design from the University of California, Los Angeles, Barbara had always been driven to create clothing that stood out from the crowd.

After relocating to Toronto, Canada in 1990, Barbara decided to open Terra Cotta Clothing as a production studio with a retail store near Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue. Over the years, our brand has undergone many transformations, but our commitment to excellence and attention to detail has remained constant.

Today, we're proud to call the Junction Triangle neighborhood our home. This vibrant and eclectic area has inspired our latest collections, and we're thrilled to be a part of the thriving community.
