Our Services
Our dispensary is equipped to provide treatment services like glasses and contact lenses. We have a wide range of frames from classic designs to high fashion in a wide price range to fit all budgets. The lenses and coatings we use are high-quality products that include names like Essilor and Crizal.
Eye Examinations
At the Family Eye Care Center, we offer a variety of eye examinations to suit the needs of all ages. Regular eye examinations are key in preventing vision loss from common eye diseases and vision impairments such as myopia (near-sightedness), hyperopia (far-sightedness), and astigmatism. We also offer comprehensive eye exams for children under the age of 18 who are covered for a full eye exam once per calendar year. Adults between the ages of 18-64 should have their eyes examined at least every two years, while adults 65 and older should have an annual exam.
Laser Surgery Referrals
We also provide referrals for refractive surgery and pre and post-operative care. Our doctors can advise on which laser surgery is best for each patient.
Additional Services
Our practice offers a range of additional services, including Humprhey Visual Field testing, which measures peripheral vision, and OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography), which provides advanced images of the macula to monitor changes caused by glaucoma and other neurological diseases.
Our Doctors
Our team of experienced optometrists includes Dr. Nathan Knezacek and Dr. Sharla Benoit. Dr. Knezacek has over 20 years of experience in the field of optometry and has worked in several clinics in Saskatchewan. Dr. Benoit has a background in French horn and is an active member of the Regina Symphony Orchestra. She is passionate about practicing full-scope optometry and welcomes new patients of all ages.
