Who We Are

Headland Construction is a licensed professional homebuilder registered through BC Housing, specializing in complex renovations and new home construction. Our team is committed to building projects that surpass expectations on quality, cost control, and schedule. At Headland Construction, our end goal is to provide a positive experience for our clients throughout the entire construction process. We achieve this through open communication, accurate budgeting, and realistic project scheduling.

Our Team

Our team is led by President and Senior Project Manager Mark Ellis, who has years of experience in the construction industry. Mark holds a degree from BCIT (Construction Management) and UBC (Political Science & Economics), and has worked as a Project Coordinator for a large Vancouver builder before starting Headland Construction. Mark is continually upgrading his knowledge through continuing education with the Canadian Home Builders Association.

Our site foremen, Max Lewis, Marcus Samji, and Jeremy Beck, bring a wealth of experience in all areas of carpentry, from concrete forming to finish carpentry. Each of them has a unique set of skills and a passion for their work, which ensures that every project is completed to the highest standard.

Project Manager Mitsuko Osugi oversees the project management process, ensuring that every project runs smoothly from start to finish. With prior experience in retail operations, Mitsuko is organized, detailed, and a creative thinker, bringing a unique perspective to the construction industry.

Office Manager Jessica Ellis is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently. With a degree from UBC in Education, Jessica has a background in teaching and has spent eight years as a Grade 5 teacher before focusing on her family and Headland Construction.
