Meet Our Team
*Dr. Lillian Rieck*
Dr. Lillian Rieck grew up in Airdrie and is excited to be practicing in the city where she grew up. She focuses on providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, starting with infants as young as 6 months old. Dr. Rieck enjoys learning how each patient uses their eyes and making recommendations that work with their lifestyle. She is interested in educating patients, dry eye, and children's vision including myopia control.
*Dr. Jared Long*
Dr. Jared Long joined the Innisfail Eyecare Centre in 2003 and has been a managing partner since 2008. He enjoys the challenge of switching between patient care and management of teams in the respected clinics. Dr. Long delight in providing continuing care to both new and existing patients and has developed a special interest in the areas of pediatrics and ocular trauma and pathology.
*Dr. Amy Forrest*
Dr. Amy Forrest, originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 2003. She has been practicing at the Innisfail Eyecare Centre since 2012 and became a partner in 2014. Dr. Forrest enjoys the challenge of practicing in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing the highest quality of eyecare to her patients.
Overall Experience
The experience at the eye clinic was not satisfactory. The family felt unwelcome and judged by the eye doctor, who seemed to imply that they were bad parents for not having their children's eyes checked regularly. Despite this, the family asked for prescriptions, but the clinic refused to provide them with PD measurements, even after the father offered to purchase glasses from the clinic himself. This led to a poor impression and a decision not to return.
