Our humble beginnings can be traced back to our unassuming location on Athabasca St. E. in Moose Jaw, where we have built a reputation for excellence in the industry. Over the years, we have invested in state-of-the-art equipment and technology to enhance our capabilities and deliver exceptional results. We have also assembled a talented team of professionals who are dedicated to meeting the needs of our clients.
Our Team
Our team is the backbone of our business, and we are proud to have some of the most experienced and skilled machinists in the industry. Our owner, Peter, has been in the trade for 40 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. With a background in farming, he excels in problem-solving and is committed to delivering the best possible results for our clients.
Doug, our shop manager, was trained in Tool & Die and has been in the trade for 35 years. He oversees all the work, lending his expertise to every job. Together with Peter, they ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service and workmanship.
Mark and Murray are our Journeymen machinists, with 20 and 7 years of experience, respectively. They are currently training as Industrial Mechanics (Millwrights) under the supervision of Peter and Doug. We also have a number of Apprentice machinists with years of hands-on experience, ensuring that we have the necessary skills and expertise to handle any job.
Our Services
At Western Machine and Welding, we offer a wide range of services, including line boring, pumps rebuilds (including valves, sleeves, pistons, etc.), and aligning of pumps. We have an extensive list of suppliers and a wide variety of materials in stock, ensuring that we can meet the needs of our clients.
We specialize in welding Cast iron, 4000 series steels, mild steels, along with our extensive experience with many different types of Stainless steels and other exotic metals. We also offer Mig & Tig welding, including Aluminum and Manganese.
