Josephine Gibbons C.M., R.N. Memorial Funeral Home is a family-owned and operated funeral home located in the heart of St. Mary's, Newfoundland. For over four decades, we have been providing compassionate and personalized funeral services to the families of St. Mary's Bay area. Our funeral home was established in the 1980s, but our story dates back to the 1930s when Josephine Gibbons, the mother of the current funeral director, Donald P. Gibbons, served as the district nurse in the St. Mary's Bay area. Josephine Gibbons was known for her dedication and commitment to the community, and in 1992, she received the Order of Canada for her lifelong service.

Honoring the Legacy of Our Founder

The funeral home was renamed to Josephine Gibbons C.M., R.N. Memorial Funeral Home in 1995, in honor of Josephine Gibbons' legacy. The funeral home is a testament to her commitment to helping others, and we strive to uphold her values in every service we provide. Just inside the main entrance of the funeral home, you will find a showcase displaying her many momentos of her long nursing career.
