Mission Statement

At Merry Pop-Ins Childcare Centre, we believe that "Children Learn Through Play." This statement defines us and is the foundation of everything we do. It is the guiding principle that shapes our curriculum and the way we interact with your children. You will find this statement prominently displayed on various materials and at the entrance of our center. It took two years, numerous meetings, and several iterations to distill it down to these four simple words.

About Us

Merry Pop-Ins Childcare Centre is a community-oriented center that values the active participation and involvement of all concerned parties in maintaining quality, service, and a sense of community. We understand that the center belongs to all of us, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.

We offer a range of services for different age groups, designed to promote your child's growth and development. Our programs include:

Infants (Birth to 22 months)

Our infant program is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child. We provide a nurturing and responsive environment that promotes physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. Our experienced staff understands the unique developmental milestones that infants go through and is committed to providing the care and support they need.

Toddlers (22 months to 3 years)

Our toddler program builds on the foundation laid in the infant program. We offer a stimulating and structured environment that encourages exploration and learning. Our staff works closely with each child to develop social skills, language, and cognitive abilities.

Jr. Preschool (3 to 4 years)

Our Jr. Preschool program emphasizes the emergent curriculum, where children are encouraged to explore and learn through play. This program focuses on developing social skills, independence, and preparing children for the transition to senior preschool.

Sr. Preschool (4 to 5 years)

Our Sr. Preschool program continues to build on the emergent curriculum, with a focus on preparing children for school. We offer a structured learning environment that supports cognitive, emotional, and social development. Our staff works closely with each child to develop essential skills such as reading, writing, and math.

School Age Programs

At MPI School Age Programs, our certified educators offer a safe and stimulating environment for before and after school care. Our programs are designed to support the academic and social development of school-age children. We offer a range of activities that promote learning, creativity, and socialization.

Parent Involvement

At Merry Pop-Ins Childcare Centre, we believe that parent involvement is crucial to the success of our programs. We encourage parents to participate in various activities, such as field trips, storytelling, crafts, and hobby sharing. Parent volunteers are always welcome, and we value the unique contributions that each parent brings to our community.

Parent Advisory Committee - PAC

The purpose of our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is to create, inspire, and lead mutually supportive relationships between families, educators, and the community. The committee meets three times per year, and members are self-nominating. The PAC plays a vital role in shaping our policies and programs, and we value their input and feedback.

There are many opportunities for parents to become involved at the center. We welcome volunteers and appreciate their contributions. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit to regular volunteering, we value your involvement in our community.
