Our History
Founded on security, Capital Safe & Lock has a long and involved history in the locksmith industry. Originally involved in lock and safe servicing, over time the company grew to include lock and key products. In the 1980s decorative and contract hardware became a bigger focus. As technology develops, so does the variety of electronic hardware that we are able to provide.

With 5 mobile technicians in Fredericton, our trained locksmiths can bring service straight to you. Our shop teams are hard at work every day to provide you locksmith services from key cutting, rekeying, preparing orders, and helping answer any questions you may have. Our dedicated administrative team will gladly assist you with any account, invoice, or service scheduling related needs.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of services to meet your security needs. For our residential clients, we provide lockout services, rekeying, electronic keypads, duplicate keys, and supply and repair services. For our commercial clients, we offer master keying, restricted and high security keyways, door closers and strikes, key by code, furniture locks, access control, and maintenance services. For our automotive clients, we provide lockout services, ignition and door key services, hitch locks and padlocks, remotes and keys, and trailer keys. And for our safe and more clients, we offer locked out services, combination changes, key accessories, and electronic and mechanical safe solutions.

Service and Quality

Maz all gave the store 5-star reviews, with comments ranging from "Excellent, fast service and a good price too" to "I'll never recommend this place again". The reviewers praised the store's ability to cut keys, program new key fobs, and repair ignition tumblers, as well as their knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Mask Mandate
However, one reviewer, Bas, had a negative experience with the store's mask mandate. Despite the government lifting the mask mandate in New Brunswick, the store still required customers to wear masks, leading Bas to leave the store and vow to never return or recommend the store again.
Complaints
Dirk Verite gave the store 3 stars, criticizing the store's attitude and saying that customers should "bring their kiddy gloves". However, this review is an outlier, and most reviewers praised the store's service and quality.
