At the Haliburton County Home Builders Association (HCHBA), we are dedicated to promoting professionalism in the residential construction industry and pursuing business conditions that allow our members to operate profitably. Established in 1991, our association brings together builders, renovators, suppliers, trade contractors, landscapers, excavators, and other professionals whose goal is to ensure the long-term success of the local residential construction industry in Haliburton County.

Our Mission

Our mission is two-fold: to promote professionalism in the industry and to pursue business conditions that will allow our members to operate their businesses profitably. We achieve this by providing our members with a platform to network with industry colleagues and customers, access resources, and get connected with the community. Our members are committed to a high level of professionalism and pursue current industry standards.

Services

We offer a range of services to our members, including access to a network of potential customers and peers, participation in cooperative marketing activities, and opportunities to develop new leads. Our members also benefit from stronger representation at the municipal, provincial, and national levels, as well as access to information resources and the exchange of ideas at meetings, seminars, and annual conferences. Additionally, we provide our members with a distinctive logo that sets them apart from part-timers and underground contractors, promoting professionalism in the industry.

Our membership directory is a valuable resource for consumers looking for professionals in the residential construction industry. Our members can find conference information, tools for connecting with customers and improving their business, national and provincial associations' stance on code and political issues affecting the building industry, and other resources at the Canadian and Ontario Home Builders' web sites. We also provide consumers with information about buying and/or renovating a home, tips and suggestions for choosing a contractor, as well as photos of award-winning projects by national and provincial members that may give them ideas for their own projects.

Training and Events

We offer training and events for our members, including First Aid Training and Working at Heights Training. We also participate in community events such as the Christmas Toy & Food Drive. Our events provide opportunities for our members to network, learn, and give back to the community.
