Pacific Playgrounds Oceanside Resort is a year-round oceanfront getaway located on the Strait of Georgia, between the towns of Courtenay and Campbell River, on the eastern shore of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Our family-friendly resort offers direct access to Desolation Sound and Discovery Passage from our marina, providing guests with a relaxing and adventure-filled experience.
Our Story
From humble beginnings as a rugged RV park to its current status as a refined Vancouver Island resort, Pacific Playgrounds Oceanside Resort has undergone significant transformations over the years. With millions of dollars invested in renovations and amenity upgrades, our resort has evolved into an upscale beach vacation destination, offering guests an unparalleled 'playground' experience.
Our Services
At Pacific Playgrounds Oceanside Resort, we cater to a diverse range of guests, offering a variety of accommodations and activities to suit every preference. Our furnished cottages for rent can sleep up to six people and are equipped with basic cable. We also offer stay-in-place RV rentals, which eliminate the hassle of renting, hauling, and parking an RV. Additionally, our fully serviced RV/camping sites provide guests with the freedom to bring their own RV.
Beyond our comfortable accommodations, our resort boasts an array of amenities, including a Beachcomber Store and Tackle Shack, kayak and paddleboard rentals, a heated swimming pool and tot pool, a large playground, a kid's fishing dock, an oasis adult-only social area, horseshoe pits, community barbecue areas, and more. We also partner with Island Life Expeditions to offer boat tours and fishing charters.
