At Life Currents Counselling, our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As a certified counselling therapist, I, Susan Monkman, tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Individual Therapy

Our individual therapy sessions focus on addressing issues such as stress management, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma and abuse, depression, identity and self-esteem, suicide prevention, eating disorders, and grief and loss. We also specialize in helping individuals work through painful relational issues stemming from trauma and abuse.

Couples Therapy

Our couples therapy sessions utilize Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to help partners identify negative cycles and develop new emotional responses, strengthening the attachment bond and increasing trust, safety, and intimacy in the relationship.

Online and Phone Appointments

Due to the current circumstances, we are now offering online and phone appointments, providing greater flexibility and accessibility. Our sessions can be tailored to accommodate your schedule and preferences.

About Susan

As a certified counselling therapist, I have extensive training and experience in areas such as trauma recovery, grief, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma. I am also well-versed in cross-cultural counselling and identity. My diverse cultural and professional background enables me to understands the impact of cultures, faith perspectives, and worldviews on an individual's identity.
