Our History

Pharmashield Dispensary was established on December 2, 1971, by Mr. Richard A. Hainsworth, who also owned a pharmacy in Burlington, Brants Pharmacy. Over the years, we have built a reputation for providing professional and efficient services to our customers, making us one of the busiest pharmacies in the Niagara Region.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services, including pharmacy services, home care, and products. Our pharmacy services include accepting all drug plans, waiving the $2.00 government co-pay, transferring prescriptions from other pharmacies, and providing specialized compounding and medication delivery. Our home care services include selling and renting walkers and wheelchairs, canes and crutches, bathroom safety devices, wound care and first aid needs, and many more. We also offer clinical programming, corporate wellness programs, and on-site clinical consulting for our customers.

Our Products

Our product range is extensive and includes items such as glucometers, blood pressure monitors, breast care products, back support items, therapeutic pillows, and many more. We also provide fittings for breast prostheses, mastectomy bras, and accessories, as well as training for customers on how to check their glucose levels.
