At Strathcona Community Dental Clinic, we're proud to have been serving the indigenous community, low-income families, and uninsured individuals in the Downtown Eastside (DTES) of Vancouver for over 20 years. As a charitable non-profit society, our mission is to provide quality dental services to those who need it most. Our History
Our clinic was established to address the significant gap in dental care for vulnerable populations in Vancouver. Over the years, we've grown to become a trusted and beloved institution in the community, providing a safe and welcoming space for families to receive essential dental care. Our team of experienced dentists, hygienists, and staff are committed to delivering high-quality care with compassion and kindness.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of dental services to children, parents, and seniors, including routine cleanings, fillings, extractions, and denture services. Our child-friendly clinic is designed to make even the most anxious patients feel comfortable and at ease. Our dentists are highly experienced in dealing with children and take the time to explain each step of the procedure to both the child and the parent. We also provide prevention and dental health information, as well as nutritional counseling to empower our patients to take control of their oral health.
In addition to our dental services, we also offer a range of programs and resources to support our patients, including a 20% discount for seniors in the community who have no dental coverage. We also have staff who can communicate with seniors in their own languages, including Cantonese and Mandarin.

Our Team

We also have a team of dedicated staff who work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation of our clinic.

Patient Satisfaction
The majority of patients have had positive experiences at Strathcona Dental. One parent was thrilled with the service provided, mentioning that the staff was kind and nice to their child, and the child's dental issues were addressed successfully.
Concerns and Feedback
However, there was a negative experience reported. A patient was treated poorly by the receptionist over the phone, who was rude and unhelpful. This led to feelings of discouragement and frustration for the patient.
