Our History
Our story began in approximately 1956, when Erwin P Friesen founded Erwin P Friesen and Sons. Over the years, the business evolved from a small grain and livestock farm to topsoil and gravel supply and hauling, and eventually to providing more site work, excavation, and contracting services. In 2012, "Excavating" was added to our company name, and after many years of service, Lauren stepped down in 2014 making way for his son, Chris, as the new owner of Friesen Hauling and Excavating. Chris carries on the family legacy of passion, innovation, integrity, and honestly that had been passed down over many generations.

Our services include heavy construction, sewer and water excavation, snow removal, and more. We specialize in excavation, providing precision excavation services for residential, agricultural, municipal, commercial, and new land development projects. Our sewer and water installation services encompass commercial projects and new subdivisions, and our site development services include drainage solutions, land clearings, and roadway construction. We also offer demolition services, ensuring that jobs are done safely and with integrity. Additionally, we provide snow removal and salt sanding services to keep your community safe.
