Avialta Helicopter Maintenance Ltd. is a Transport Canada approved helicopter repair and overhaul service centre and Bell Customer Service Facility in operation for over 35 years. We are located at the Villeneuve Airport (CZVL), just outside of Edmonton, Alberta. Our factory trained and certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and team specialize in providing a wide range of services to helicopter owners and operators.
Our Story
Avialta is owned by Rod Wood and managed by Paul Horvatis. Purchased in 1985, Avialta has grown from a small two-man operation to a team of 17 personnel. We employ seven licensed engineers and two apprentices who are responsible for maintenance on the shop floor. Our overhaul shop has two full-time employees, who between them have over 60 years of experience in the helicopter business, 35 years in the component shop alone. All of our employees have completed various helicopter type factory courses and Transport Canada approved training courses.

Our focus is on quality and safety, and our skilled team is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. Our services include aircraft repairs and maintenance, dynamic component and engine overhauls, aircraft structural/airframe repairs, avionics, custom paint and aircraft refurbishment, new and overhauled part sales, tool and part/component rentals, and helicopter leases/sales. We also offer pre-purchase inspections and evaluations for those looking to purchase a helicopter.

We are an approved Airbus, Bell, and Safran helicopter service centre, and our technicians are factory trained and certified.
