Our History

Sandy MacDonald, the founder of Sandy's Oilfield Hauling, started the company in the 1980s with a single red 1969 Chevrolet Heavy Half truck. Through his dedication to providing excellent service and building strong relationships with his customers, the business quickly grew, and soon Sandy was operating a fleet of trucks serving all of western Canada. Over the years, the company has expanded and diversified, taking on new projects and clients from various industries, including electrical, construction, and mining. Our reputation for reliability and dedication to our customers has led us to be called upon when the job is critical and time is of the essence. We pride ourselves on being a company that can adapt to changing circumstances and provide solutions to meet the unique needs of each client.

Our Services

At Sandy's Oilfield Hauling, we offer a range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our services include:

• OCTG Management: We operate a state-of-the-art pipe yard from our 31-acre facility in Nisku, Alberta, catering to both on-demand programs and large-scale projects. Our inventory management system ensures that our clients' inventory is handled safely and efficiently, using the industry-standard Pelican Tallys! system to track and manage our inventory.

• General Oilfield Hauling: Our fleet of trucks is equipped to handle a wide range of hauling and transporting needs, from heavy equipment to construction materials. Our experienced drivers are trained to navigate challenging terrain and work in remote locations, ensuring that your cargo arrives safely and on schedule.

• Welding and Fabrication: We have a fully equipped on-site welding and fabrication facility, where we rig up our own trucks and specialized trailers to ensure that our equipment is always in top condition.

• Commercial Vehicle Inspection: As a licensed commercial vehicle inspection facility, we can perform all of our own service and maintenance in our fully equipped shop, ensuring that our fleet is always well-maintained and up to code.

Safety

Our drivers are subject to random drug screening and maintain all relevant tickets, including H2S, WHIMIS, TDG, CSTS, and First Aid. Our Health and Safety officer and management are also subject to regular training to keep abreast of changes in the industry and common practices.
