Hara & Company is a family-run law firm with deep roots in the Vancouver community. Since its establishment in 1962, the firm has provided outstanding legal services to individuals, businesses, and organizations. Thomas Hara, QC, the founder of the firm, was a pioneer in his field, being the first Japanese-Canadian to open a sole law practice in British Columbia. With a strong foundation in labour and criminal law, Thomas counselled six International Labour Unions and represented approximately 100 companies.

Over the years, the firm has evolved to cater to the diverse needs of its clients. In 1977, Thomas was joined by his brother Glenn Hara, who brought his expertise in solicitor's work and built strong relationships with business owners in the East Vancouver community. Glenn's practical approach to problem-solving has earned him a reputation for being a trusted advisor. In 1992, Bradley Hara, Thomas's nephew, joined the firm after articling at Watson Goepel. Bradley's focus includes civil litigation, real estate, acquisitions, and corporate law.
