The Architect: Norman Goddard

Norman Goddard is a licensed architect with a diverse background in both the United States and Canada. Throughout his extensive career, Norman has been fortunate to work with esteemed architects such as Garth Ramsey, F. Russell Hollingsworth, Henry York Mann, and Chris Coy. This wealth of experience has allowed him to create a distinct, organic design methodology that seamlessly blends traditional and modern elements, bringing structure and natural beauty together.

Our Design Process

We understand that hiring an architect is an essential investment in the future of your project. Our design process forms a solid foundation for a growing partnership that begins when you engage our services and results in the realization of your vision.

*Information Gathering*

You are our most essential resource in the creation of a space that truly represents you. During this phase, we ask you to share your ideas, dreams, and aspirations. Concurrently, we perform a site survey, review zoning, and gather all necessary logistical information.

*Sketching the Essence*

Your architect will establish the initial concept of your new space, seeking design direction and spatial priorities in an organic, collaborative process. Through conversations and revisions, we work together to evolve the sketches into a design that is both beautiful and functional for your lifestyle.

*Getting Detailed*

We explore every aspect of your project in detail, taking into account materials, traffic flow, and various design aspects. During this phase, we encourage flexibility as changes can generally be made more easily at this stage. Preliminary estimates can be conducted.

*The Big Picture*

Your architect actively participates in selecting a contractor, evaluating contractor qualifications, and estimating your project's cost. Decisions regarding pricing structures, such as cost plus or fixed price, are made during this phase. If necessary, adjustments can be made based on your financial plan.

*Making it Real*

Once all decisions have been made, your architect will complete building permit drawings (blueprints) for municipal approval. Cost estimating and contractor selection can also be finalized at this time. Our architect will work on the build site as often as required to ensure the project's success.
