Going the extra mile for our clients, every day

Medicine Chest Pharmacy has been a prominent figure in the Yukon community for over 35 years, serving as an independent and locally owned pharmacy dedicated to providing compassionate, professional, and efficient service. Our team is proud to operate on the traditional lands of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation and Ta'an Kwach'an Council. With a rich history and a commitment to growth, Medicine Chest Pharmacy has expanded to two locations at 406 Lambert Street and 304 Ogilvie Street in Whitehorse, YT.

The story of Medicine Chest Pharmacy began in 1987 when partners Jim Lindsay and Tracee Vickerman recognized the need for personalized pharmaceutical services in the community. Over the years, the team has grown and evolved, now comprised of 10 pharmacists and a dedicated support staff. As the scope of pharmacy practice has expanded, so too has the range of services offered by Medicine Chest Pharmacy.

Our Team

*Tracee Vickerman*, a University of Alberta graduate, moved to the Yukon in 1983 after falling in love with its beauty and outdoor activity opportunities. She has played a significant role in shaping Medicine Chest Pharmacy, from its inception and the opening of the second location on Ogilvie Street. Tracee is a mentor for pharmacists, advocate for the profession, and a certified Menopause Educator and Respiratory Educator. In her free time, Tracee continues to explore the Yukon's great outdoors.

*Jim Lindsay* was captivated by the Yukon's charm in 1984 and still proudly calls it home. After working at Peoples Drug Mart, Jim partnered with Tracee to establish Medicine Chest Pharmacy in 1987, with a vision of an independent and community-minded pharmacy. Jeff Spiers and Deah Sutton joined the ownership team in 2017, strengthening the pharmacy's commitment to serving the community.

*Deah Sutton*, upon graduating from Dalhousie University in 1999, was drawn to the Yukon and has spent her entire career at Medicine Chest Pharmacy. She has gained expertise and certification in Respiratory Education and completed palliative care training in both professional and volunteer roles. Deah cherishes her connections with clients and their families and, when not at work, enjoys spending time with her own family and exploring the outdoors.

*Jeff Spiers*, a native of Nova Scotia, completed his Pharmacy Degree at Dalhousie University and relocated to the North after graduating in 2001. After working in various pharmacies across the North, he found his home at Medicine Chest Pharmacy in 2003. Jeff has been an integral part of the pharmacy's growth, including the opening of the second location on Ogilvie in 2014.
