Accufab Machine Ltd. is a well-established company with a rich history that spans over 40 years. Founded as Arc Industries by John Heidt, the company began as a small operation using a portable unit built from a milk van. As the company grew, it was renamed to its current name, Accufab Machine Ltd., reflecting the high level of accuracy and precision that has become synonymous with the company's work.

John Heidt, the sole Owner/Operator, has an extensive background in mechanics and welding. Growing up on a farm in Alberta, he learned how to MacGyver equipment together and started welding at the age of 13. He has since worked as an agricultural mechanic, marine mechanic, compressor mechanic, and even a commercial diver in the icy rivers and lakes of Alberta. This diverse experience has given him the knowledge and expertise to tackle any project that comes his way.

At Accufab Machine Ltd., we take pride in our ability to offer a wide range of services. We are a full welding machine shop that offers portable welding in MIG and TIG processes for steel, stainless, and aluminum. We have the capability to work on large projects, such as ferries and ice breakers, as well as small projects, such as telescope parts and camera adapters. If you can imagine it, we can build it!

We are proud to offer custom printing and canvas mounting services. We can provide raw prints and stretch the canvas on our own frames. Our team of skilled professionals will work with you to ensure that your final product meets your expectations.

Consulting is another area where Accufab Machine Ltd. excels. We offer a range of consulting services to aid in finding solutions for any project. We have helped on many prototypes and are confident that no job is too big or too small.

In addition to our welding and consulting services, Accufab Machine Ltd. also specializes in marine repair and fabrication. Over the years, we have completed dozens of stainless steel exhaust systems for small-craft wet exhaust systems, large fish boats, and ferries. We make injector elbows, water locks, and exit thru hulls, and can also create custom bow rollers, pulpits, stanchions, radar arches, and dinghy davits.

At Accufab Machine Ltd., we take safety and insurance seriously. We carry enough insurance to work on the biggest ferry, ice breaker, and payloads under helicopters. We are proud to maintain the lowest liability insurance and compensation rates in BC, as we have never had a claim.
