Our Vision
Boldwing Continuum Architects began with a shared aspiration for imaginative and impactful architecture. Over the past two decades, we have built a diverse portfolio of projects that includes transportation, institutions, healthcare, as well as industrial, commercial, and residential developments. Our work is guided by a commitment to elevate the experience of everyday architecture and enhance urban interaction.
Our team of dedicated architects follows an end-to-end process that starts with understanding the goals of the client, the context of the site, and the needs of the users, and culminates in a building that promotes and enhances urban engagement.

As a co-founding principal and director of design, Sylvain is the creative force that guides Boldwing Continuum. With 35 years of architectural experience, his design expertise, aesthetic sense, and creative vision help shape the firm's unique approach. Sylvain is involved in crucial design decisions, from material selection to integrating consultants into the process. He also takes the lead role in presenting projects and cultivating client relationships, continuously applying their feedback to our designs.

As a co-founding principal and director of practice, Arthur leads every project through our process, ensuring it is approached, worked on, and completed with the same integrated consistency. With over 38 years of architectural experience, Arthur has been involved in various roles, such as project architect, project manager, and partner, working in private and public sectors on institutional, infrastructure, building assessment, and building envelope projects across Canada. Arthur's collaboration with each client lays out the macro-environment for their project, focusing on timeline, scope, and budget aspects.
Our Process
At Boldwing Continuum Architects, we understand that good design goes beyond creating visually appealing buildings. We emphasize the importance of architecture acting as a conduit for interaction in shaping cities and societies. Our human-centered design approach prioritizes understanding how and why people interact with their urban environment.
Starting with observations of human interactions, our initial ideas undergo an iterative filtering process to ensure our designs resonate with the people that will engage with them daily. We believe in tailoring our design process for each project, avoiding standardized designs that overlook the human component of urban development.
Over the past 20 years, we've successfully implemented this approach across various building styles, scales, and sectors. With a focus on innovative design solutions that seamlessly integrate into a city, our human-centered design process continues to foster connections and elevate everyday architecture experiences.
Unwelcome Treatment at a Local Office
The author, Sukhi Brar, shares a negative experience at an office where they intended to introduce themselves and exchange business cards. However, they were met with hostility from the front desk staff. Despite apologizing for any misunderstanding, the staff demanded they put back the business card they had picked up, treating the visitor unprofessionally and rudely.
