Our History

Uechi Karate has a rich and storied history that spans thousands of years. Originating in India over 5000 years ago, Karate was developed as a method of fighting based on the instinctive movements of animals. Over time, it evolved and spread to Okinawa, Japan, where it became known as Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do. In the United States, it is often referred to as Kung-Fu or Karate. At Uechi Karate Academy, we are proud to continue this tradition, offering classes in traditional Okinawan Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of classes and services to meet the needs of our students. From beginner classes for children and adults to advanced training for black belt holders, we have something for everyone. Our classes cater to every skill level and provide a variety of weekly times to accommodate your schedule. In addition to our regular classes, we also offer specialized training in self-defense for women, martial arts for kids, and traditional Okinawan dojo training. Our spacious karate studio is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our students to learn and grow.
