About Our Legal Clinic
West Scarborough Community Legal Services (WSCLS) has been providing accessible legal assistance to low-income residents of West Scarborough since 1988. We are a non-profit legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario and are one of two legal aid clinics in Scarborough.
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower low-income residents in West Scarborough to access justice and advocate for their legal rights through:
- Providing free legal advice and representation.
- Promoting public awareness of legal issues affecting the community.
- Developing and promoting community-based legal resources.
Membership and Volunteers
Our dedicated Board of Directors is elected by our members, who are residents of West Scarborough. We also rely on a team of skilled volunteers who contribute their time and expertise to our work.
