Salmon Arm Minor Hockey Association (SAMHA) fosters the love of hockey and promotes skill development in young athletes across various age groups. We strive to cultivate respect, sportsmanship, and a passion for the game.

Our Mission

Our mission is to:

• Promote respect, sportsmanship, and skill development in players at all levels.
• Collaborate with parents to provide a positive and safe hockey experience for children.
• Foster an inclusive environment where all players can develop their potential.

1. Youth Hockey Programs

• Competitive and recreational hockey leagues for U7 to U18 age groups.
• Development programs focused on skills like skating, stickhandling, shooting, and goalkeeping.
• Volunteer opportunities for parents and the community to support young athletes.

2. Officiating Services

• Training and certification programs for aspiring referees and linesmen.
• Assignment of officials to local games and tournaments.

3. Community Engagement

• Annual tournaments and events.
• Equipment and resources available for loan to local schools and community groups.
• Partnerships with local businesses to provide sponsorships and financial assistance.

4. Team Management Support

• Resource library with handbooks, financial reports, and policies for team managers.
