Our story began in 1929 when the Mehos brothers, Alex and George, opened the store, offering custom-made shoes, repairs, shoe shine, and blocking and cleaning hats. Since then, we've grown and evolved, but our commitment to providing exceptional customer service and high-quality products remains unchanged.
Our History
In 1952, Constantine Pappas, or Gus, joined the business and eventually took over the shop in 1958. Gus was self-taught in the trade, having learned from his father-in-law, and he continued to build the business, adding the retail aspect in 1960. In 1973, the store moved to its current location, where we still operate today. Over the years, we've expanded our product offerings to include a wide range of shoes, boots, and accessories from around the world.
