Architecture Sans Frontieres

At Architecture Sans Frontieres International (ASF-Int), we are a network of design not-for-profit organizations committed to social justice, cultural and environmental aspects of architecture, and the conservation of the human and physical heritage of the built environment. Our mission is to enable vulnerable communities to access architectural services, research, and educational resources, thereby increasing their resilience and reducing their vulnerability.

As an international network of organizations, we are driven by a shared passion for socially responsible architectural practices. Our purpose is to bridge the gap between the architectural community and vulnerable communities, providing architectural services that are tailored to meet their unique needs. We believe that architecture has the power to create dignity and beauty, and that it is essential for creating a more just and equitable world.

Our Services

At ASF-Int, we offer a range of services that are designed to support vulnerable communities in building better futures. These services include:

• Socially Responsible Architecture: We work with architects and designers to create buildings and spaces that are socially responsible, sustainable, and culturally sensitive. Our approach is based on a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of the communities we serve.
• Knowledge Transfer: We believe that knowledge is a powerful tool for creating positive change. Through our knowledge transfer programs, we support the development of local capacity and skills, enabling communities to take control of their own architectural needs.
