Helping Families Through Life

Fewer's Funeral Home has been an integral part of the Clarenville community and the surrounding areas since 1972. Our main office is located in Clarenville, but we are proud to serve families from our additional locations in Lethbridge, Port Rexton, Arnold's Cove, and Little Hearts Ease. At Fewer's Funeral Home, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and professional burial, cremation, and memorial services, as well as being a vital resource for those grieving the loss of a loved one.

In 2016, we updated our Clarenville facilities to include a modern Memorial chapel. This tranquil setting has been designed to accommodate families who wish to avail of this option and provides a peaceful environment for family and friends to celebrate and pay their respects to the deceased. Our commitment to helping families through life has never been stronger.

Burial or Cremation?

Deciding between a burial or cremation service is a personal choice and may be influenced by religious or cultural practices. Regardless of the choice you make, it is essential to consider the various elements of a service that will help you cope in life after losing a loved one. At Fewer's Funeral Home, we are here to help you navigate this challenging time and support you in making the decision that is right for you and your loved one.

A traditional burial service typically includes a visitation for a few days where family and friends can visit the place of rest, either at a funeral home or church. This is a time for people to pay their respects and share fond memories or untold stories. Following the visitation, there is a funeral service at our chapel or church, followed by bringing the deceased to their final resting place of choice.

Cremation services are similar to traditional burial services. However, after the funeral service, the body is cremated instead of being buried. Once the cremation is completed, there is a cemetery service at the final resting place. Memorial services are held when a loved one is cremated first. Visitation can be arranged with the urn present for a day or so, followed by a service from our chapel or church. The urn is then placed in the final resting place during the cemetery service.

Pre-arrangement

Prearranging a funeral is a difficult decision, but it can help reduce the hardship experienced by friends and family after a loved one's death. Prearrangement allows for difficult choices to be made in advance, at a time when individuals are able to cope with decisions. At Fewer's Funeral Home, we provide the option to prearrange a funeral with or without payment in advance. There is no cost to put your wishes on file with us. We can set up a payment plan according to your own needs. If you choose to pre pay your funeral, the price is guaranteed to you by the funeral home, ensuring that there will be no additional costs at the time of death. Your money is placed in a trust account in your name and will remain there until the services are needed. We are happy to arrange an appointment at your convenience or provide further information on prearranged funerals at no charge.
