Trusted Child Care Services in Port Lambton
Sombra Township Child Care has been dedicated to nurturing children's growth and supporting families since 1992. Our programs are designed to meet or exceed the standards set by the Child Care and Early Years Act, Ministry of Education, and Lambton County requirements. With a team of Registered Early Childhood Educators, we provide stimulating environments for children aged 3 months to 12 years across two licensed sites. Our curriculum follows Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years, focusing on observation-based learning and developmental milestones. We maintain strong community partnerships with Lambton Public Health, EarlyON Lambton, and other agencies to enhance our services.Over 32 years, we've expanded from 36 to 183 licensed spaces while preserving our commitment to personalized care. Our board of directors includes parent and community volunteers who guide our monthly operations. We offer flexible full-time and part-time programs, including summer and holiday sessions, with subsidies available through Lambton County. Our quality assurance processes include annual parent surveys, licensing checklists, and environmental ratings. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere where children thrive and families feel supported.
