Our History

Founded in 1979 by Jim Baier and Rick Libke, Elance Steel has grown into a family of dedicated employees with over 300 years of combined experience. Our founders' collective goal was to produce structural steel and miscellaneous metals at a fair price, and over the years, we have expanded our services to include design, fabrication, and installation under one roof. This has enabled our customers to benefit from spending less time coordinating individual contractors and more time focusing on the success of their finished project.

Our Services

At Elance Steel, we offer a wide range of services that cater to the needs of our customers. We design, manufacture, and erect Structural Steel, Metal Fabrication, and Light Ornamental Steel Structures, including trusses, for commercial, industrial, entertainment, athletic, and institutional buildings. We also supply fabricated structural steel trusses used in the construction of buildings for the mining, water, forestry, power, and oil and gas markets. Our in-house design and fabrication capabilities ensure that we retain complete control over every aspect of the project, from architectural design and fabrication to on-site delivery and erection.
