At Nova Heating & Sheet Metal Ltd, we take pride in being a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the Greater Vancouver and Lower Mainland areas of British Columbia for over 75 years. Our rich history dates back to 1945 when our founder, Jack Ball, started his plumbing and heating business in North Vancouver. Since then, we have grown and evolved to become one of the most trusted and reliable heating and cooling specialists in the region.
Our Story
Our journey began with Jack Ball, who worked in the North Vancouver shipyards during World War II designing turrets for gunships. After the war, he started his plumbing and heating business, focusing on coal and wood burning furnaces, and later, oil furnaces. When natural gas became mainstream in the late 1950s and early 1960s, Nova Heating grew rapidly, keeping pace with the development of North and West Vancouver. Over the years, we have adapted to changing technologies and market trends, expanding our services to include refrigeration (air conditioning) and ductless inverter technology for both heating and cooling.
