Our Story
Our journey began in the early 1950s when Bob and Mary Stenner, the founders of Lakeside Cottages, had a dream to build five beautiful cottages that faced the lake and were just feet away from the water's edge. Over the years, we have perfected our craft, ensuring that each of our cottages is designed to provide a home-away-from-home experience for our guests. With their warm and cozy atmosphere, comfortable furniture, and well-equipped kitchens, you'll feel like you're walking into your own home.
Our Accommodations
Our cottages are fully equipped with all the amenities you need to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Each cottage has a large living area with a comfortable sofa, TV, and VCR, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary appliances and utensils. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with double beds, single beds, or queen-sized beds to accommodate all sorts of requirements. Our cottages also have a fully equipped bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink.
Amenities and Activities
At Lakeside Cottages, we offer a range of amenities and activities that cater to all ages and interests. From fishing to swimming, kayaking to canoeing, and tennis to ping-pong, there is something for everyone. We also have a boat and motor rental service available for our guests who want to explore the lake and catch a glimpse of the stunning scenery. Location
We are located just 3 kilometers north of Lakefield Village and 15 kilometers north of Peterborough. With our convenient location, you can easily explore the surrounding countryside and enjoy all the beauty that nature has to offer. We are easily accessible from the southwest via Highway 401 and Highway 7, and from the east via Highway 7 and Highway 28.
Getting Here
From the southwest, take Highway 401 to Highway 115, then follow Highway 7 east to Highway 28. Take Highway 28 north until you reach the traffic lights, then turn left and follow the sign to Lakefield. Stenner Road is on the right after approximately 1 kilometer. From the east, follow Highway 7 west to Highway 28, then take Highway 28 north until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left and follow the sign to Lakefield. Stenner Road is on the right after approximately 1 kilometer.
