Negative Experiences at the Wound Care Clinic
Stuart Cornford, a patient, had a disappointing experience at the wound care clinic due to a bacterial infection in his ankle. The clinic's inconsistent supply of wound care products and constantly changing recommendations led to the wound remaining open for a year. Cornford was advised to expose the wound to air and apply pressure, which caused pain, swelling, and difficulties with footwear. He eventually took matters into his own hands, reading medical journals and using alternative methods that are now helping the wound heal slowly. The clinic's lack of consistency and unprofessionalism, including a clinic that was still listed three months after its closure, has left a negative impression on Cornford.
B. H., another patient, also had a poor experience with the clinic. They described the staff as unprofessional, citing last-minute cancellations by the nurse and incorrect appointment times. As a result, B. H. would recommend seeking wound care services elsewhere.
