Hydroponic Cultivation

We use hydroponic cultivation methods to grow our sweet bell peppers. This method of cultivation allows us to yield up to 20 times more produce per acre of land while dramatically reducing water usage compared to standard outdoor farming. By operating within a climate-controlled environment, we are able to guarantee optimal conditions for cultivation, which enhances the quality of our produce and leads to higher yields. This approach not only supports the growth of healthier produce but also promotes environmental sustainability.

Championing Sustainability

Our sustainable farming practices include integrated pest management and water recycling. By using integrated pest management methods, we are able to minimize the use of chemical pesticides and instead rely on biological controls to manage pests. Water recycling ensures that we use water efficiently and minimize waste.

Stringent Food Quality Standards

At Greenhouse Delight Foods, we adhere to rigorous Canadian food safety protocol and comply with USDA standards for pepper specifications. We follow the CanadaGAP food safety guidelines to ensure that everything we export to our U.S partners is grown in accordance with FDA standards. This makes us a premium supplier of peppers both locally and abroad.

A Multi-Generational Journey

The story of Greenhouse Delight Foods began with a deep-rooted love for farming that has endured generations. Founded by Ranjit and Sukhwinder Sandhu, the legacy is now carried forward by their son Ken, Ken's wife, and two children. As a multi-generational team that resides on-site, the family is able to maintain a full view of the operation at all times. This helps to ensure that all aspects of the growing and harvesting process are carried out in accordance with the most stringent quality standards.

Dedication

Ranjit and Sukhwinder Sandhu's journey in the agriculture industry began humbly in the early 1990s. With a goal of building his operations from the ground up, Ranjit employed a granular attention to detail and a dedication to his craft which led him to the greenhouse industry. Growing from strength to strength, Ranjit now works alongside his son Ken and his family to oversee the operation on a day-to-day basis.
