Our Services

Mining Equipment specializes in rail-mounted equipment, and our inventory is one of the largest in the industry. We offer a wide range of diesel, battery, and trolley locomotives from top manufacturers such as Plymouth, Clayton, Brookville, Schoma, Goodman, Greensburg, and General Electric. In addition to locomotives, we also have a large selection of rolling stock, including muck cars, flat cars, and mantrips. If we don't have what our customers need, we build it from scratch to meet their specifications.

Our ventilation division, Jetair Axiflow Fans, offers a full range of underground ventilation fans and accessories. Our Super-Silenced fans are designed to run quieter and take up less space than conventional fan and silencer combinations. We also offer steel ventilation ducting, rolled on-site for our customers' mines or tunnels.

Mine Hoists International, a fully-owned subsidiary of Mining Equipment, is based in North Bay, Ontario, and boasts a large selection of used mine hoists and stage winches. With over 35 mine hoists and 60 stage winches, up to 80,000 lbs. capacity, we have the equipment our customers need to get the job done efficiently and safely.

Recent Developments

We are thrilled to announce our acquisition of MUHLHAUSER, a bold step into the European market. This important acquisition represents our first foray into Europe, and we are excited to bring our expertise and commitment to quality to a new community of underground contractors. Our new European office, located in Breuberg, Germany, will coordinate our expanded supply of locomotives, rolling stock, mine hoists, mine winches, and ventilation equipment in the new market.

We are also proud to announce that we are now representing Trident & Metalliance in North America. As the exclusive agent for Metalliance, we are excited to offer our customers the world leader in tunnel multi-service vehicles. We are also the exclusive agent for Trident SA (Goodman, Eimco) in the United States, offering Goodman battery locomotives and Eimco over-shot muckers.
