Transforming outdoor spaces, exceeding expectations
Located just south of Burns Lake, Takysie Lake Resort offers a serene and tranquil getaway that is hard to come by. The name 'Takysie' means 'lake of many fishes, ' and the lake certainly lives up to its name with an abundance of wild BC rainbow trout. The lake is perfect for fishing enthusiasts, with various fishing methods to choose from, such as fly fishing, conventional trolling using spinning gear, flatfish, and small spoons. Even if you don't enjoy fishing, you can still marvel at the sight of fish leaping from the water for their daily meal.
At Takysie Lake Resort, we offer a range of accommodations to suit your needs, from full suites and lakeside cabins to full lodges and RV/tentsites. Our lakeside resort is secluded and peaceful, offering a chance to unwind and listen to the call of the loons and watch the ospreys soaring overhead. Our on-site facilities include a restaurant and store, guest docks, boat launch, sani dump station, and docking for floatplanes.
Explore the Lake and Enjoy a Range of Activities
Takysie Lake Resort has a range of recreational activities to keep you and your family entertained. We offer 14 ft. aluminum boats and motors for rent, as well as canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats (life jackets provided). Our large party barge comes with a porta-potty and covered picnic table. You can also enjoy a variety of on-site activities such as volleyball, badminton, play area for kids, bocce ball, croquet, horseshoes, bicycling, and hiking. Feel free to suggest any other activities you have in mind!
