Be true to yourself / Your individuality is our priority!
The Creston Golf Club, nestled in the heart of the Creston Valley, has a rich history that spans over six decades. Founded in 1954, the club was born out of the vision and determination of a group of local citizens. The club's humble beginnings, with a 9-hole course carved out of the bush, have evolved into a beautifully designed 18-hole course that caters to golfers of all skill levels.
The development of the Creston Golf Club has been a testament to the spirit of volunteerism, community support, and local ingenuity. The original course design was donated by local engineer Vaughan Mosher, and the first 9 holes were built by volunteers, complete with sand greens, in 1962. The introduction of grass greens in 1970-71 and the construction of the clubhouse in 1982 further solidified the club's presence in the community.
The course has seen several expansions and redesigns over the years, with the most significant one in 1989-91. This project resulted in the current 18-hole layout, with a further redesign of holes #8 and #9 in 2006. The club's pursuit of an adequate water supply led to the completion of a major new system to the Goat River in 2003, once again demonstrating the community's commitment to the club's growth and success.
