At Centrepointe Childcare Services (CCS), we take pride in providing quality, nurturing care to children and support to those who care for them. As a leading childcare provider in Ottawa, we have been serving the community since 1990. Our mission is to deliver accessible, safe, and nurturing childcare services and resources that enhance the lives of children, parents, and caregivers in our community.
Our History
Founded in 1990 by the Ministry of Children and Youth and the Ministry of Housing, CCS was the first of its kind to offer three types of parent support programs on-site. Over the years, we have grown to offer a range of care and early learning options for children from infancy to age 12. Our programs include Centre-based Childcare, Home-based Childcare, and a Toy Library. We have also expanded our services to include a Nursery School program, EarlyON Playgrounds, and workshops for parents and caregivers.

Our Staff
Our staff members are dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional care and education to our children. Our Centre-based Childcare team consists of the Executive Director, three head teachers, and six support teachers, all of whom are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE). Our Home-based Childcare team consists of loving, caring, and nurturing individuals who provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in their own homes. All of our staff members hold a Ministry of Education approved Standard First Aid and CPR certificate.
Our Programs
We offer a range of programs to meet the diverse needs of our community. These programs include:
- Centre-based Childcare: A full-time childcare program for children between 18 months and five years old
- Home-based Childcare: A childcare program provided in safe, nurturing home environments for infants to children aged 12 years
- Nursery School: A part-time, early-learning program for children aged 2.5-5 years
- EarlyON Playgroup: A welcoming setting for children aged 0-6 years to play and socialize, and for parents and caregivers to share wisdom and stories
- Toy Library: A library bursting with over 670 toys that can be borrowed by members for three weeks at a time
- Workshops: Designed to build on existing strengths and learn strategies to cope with the challenges of everyday life with children
