Building Your Dream Home, One Acreage at a Time

Down To Earth Art Gallery is a well-established business that has been serving the community of Antigonish, Nova Scotia since 1996. Located at 240 Main Street, we have evolved from a gallery that primarily sold limited edition prints and etchings to a premier destination for original artwork. Our gallery is known for carrying a diverse range of artwork, from local favorites to original paintings by renowned artists such as Franz Johnston, a member of the original Group of Seven, and Norval Morrisseau, the world's most recognized First Nations artist.

Our collection includes works by Canada's leading marine artist, J. Franklin Wright, and one of the country's most significant aboriginal artists, Alan Syliboy. We are also proud to represent Pierre Nadeau, who has painted for over 50 years and was invited to exhibit at The Louvre in Paris in December 2017, followed by being awarded a lifetime membership to the prestigious Paris "Society of Arts, Letters, and Science" in June 2018. Our customers are often amazed at the quality and breadth of artwork we carry, and we take pride in offering unique and exciting pieces.

Pierre Nadeau, an impressionist painter, showcases his incredible talent and experience with his stunning artwork.

Kate Georgallas, an expressive realism artist, creates breathtaking pieces with her attention to detail and unique style. Cori MacInnis, a watercolor artist and member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolor (CSPWC), creates beautiful custom portraits and subject matter that often includes people, animals, or birds.

In addition to our regular artists, we also carry works by notable artists that are not regularly available in our gallery, including Norval Morrisseau, J.W. Beatty, Frederick Varley, Joseph Purcell, Al Chaddock, Franz Johnston, Frederick Arthur Verneer, Leonard Brooks, Jack L. Gray, Alex Janvier, Carl Ray, and Roy Thomas.
