Our Services
Seymour Art Gallery offers a range of services and programs to engage, inspire, and support artists and art enthusiasts alike. Our services include:
1. Exhibitions: We host thought-provoking and diverse exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing the works of local, national, and international artists. These exhibitions challenge visitors, encourage conversation, and promote the exploration of various artistic mediums.
2. Educational Programs: We offer an array of educational programs for children and adults, including our Kids' Kits!, and Summer Art Camps. Our Kids' Kits! are project-based art activities designed for creative young visitors to enjoy by donation. The Summer Art Camps, led by experienced teacher Jennifer Butterfield, inspire pre-teens and children to explore various art materials through fun and engaging projects.
3. Calls for Artists: We actively seek and support emerging artists by offering opportunities for exhibition proposals. Our calls for artists support the growth and development of local artists, while enriching our exhibition calendar with new perspectives and talents.
4. Gallery Shop: Our Gallery Shop features a wide selection of local, handmade gifts that showcase the creativity and craftsmanship of regional artists. As a member, you will receive a 10% discount on these unique items.
5. Volunteer Opportunities: We welcome volunteers to help contribute to the community by assisting in various roles at the gallery, such as event support, fundraising, and gallery attendance. Volunteering with us is an excellent opportunity to learn about the local creative community while supporting the arts in North Vancouver.
6. Membership and Support: By becoming a member or donor, you directly support our mission to cultivate appreciation for the arts. Members enjoy benefits such as discounts on gallery shop purchases and ticketed events, while donors contribute to our long-term vision of providing a dynamic artistic future for our community.
