At Dew Drops Daycare Centre Calmar, we are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. Our experienced and dedicated team of educators is passionate about childcare and is dedicated to providing high-quality care for every child in our centre. We understand that every child is unique and has their own personalized individual needs, which is why we take the time to get to know each child, paying attention to their likes, dislikes, wants, and needs.

We believe that the best way for children to learn and grow is if they actually enjoy the activities we provide, which is why we strive to accommodate every child's interest and provide open-ended activities that allow them to learn at their own pace. Our centre is structured to provide a safe and supportive environment where children can explore, learn, and develop their skills and abilities.

Our History

Dew Drops Daycare Centre Calmar has been operating in the Calmar community since September 2012. Our current operators previously ran the Little Otters Daycare in Leduc for the past 8 years prior to opening Dew Drops Daycare Centre, giving us a vast experience in the daycare business. We are a provincially licensed and certified centre serving up to 39 children from 12 months to 12 years.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy provides the basis for our daycare policies and practices. We believe that each child is an important individual with varying and changing needs, abilities, and preferences that we will strive to meet. We view each child as a "whole", developing in all aspects physically, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and intellectually, with each aspect of development being of equal importance.

Our Programs

We offer a range of programs designed to cater to the unique needs of children at different ages and stages of development. Our programs include:

• Toddlers (12 months to 2 years): This program is designed to support the cognitive, emotional, and social development of toddlers, providing them with the guidance and support they need during these critical early years.
• Preschool (3 years to 5 years): This program is designed to encourage children's exploration and learning in a safe and supportive environment, providing them with the opportunities to ask questions, explore, and find their own answers.
• OSC (5 years to 12 years): This program is designed to provide children with a sense of independence and control, allowing them to make their own decisions and have a say in their experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

Our Goals

Our goals are to provide high-quality care for every child in our daycare, ensure families have access to resources and assistance that allow for well-informed choices concerning parenting and related issues, establish and cultivate positive self-esteem in each and every child, encourage each child's use of language, promote the development of gross and fine motor skills, lay a foundation of appropriate social interactions and relationships, and encourage the development of a healthy lifestyle.
