Bouma Custom Homes specializes in building homes on customer-owned lots, whether they are located in urban or rural areas. We are an established builder with many years of experience building in Chatham, as well as the surrounding areas of Chatham-Kent. We have built numerous homes in rural areas and are well-equipped to handle any site issues that may arise, such as view, size, location, topography, soil, serviceability, access, or any combination of these features. Many rural sites have no existing services, and we have the expertise to handle tasks such as digging wells, engineering and installing septic systems, and managing electrical and other utility connections.

We pass along all supplier discounts to ensure you are getting the best products for the best prices.

Bouma Custom Homes is a long-time member of both the Canadian Home Builders' Association and the Chatham-Kent Home Builders' Association. Our team, led by husband and wife team Scott and Erin VanderSluis, along with Scott's father, Mike, who helped found the company and remains a hands-on partner, are dedicated to upholding the company name and providing the highest level of service to our clients.
