Located on the picturesque south shore of Nova Scotia, Mahone Bay, Gold River Marina is a premier provider of Marina and Yard Services to the recreational sailing yacht and power boat market. With 53 slips and the capacity to handle over 400 yachts for dry storage, our facility boasts more than 13,800 sq.ft. of buildings available for construction, maintenance, and inside storage of boats up to 65 feet. Our yard is equipped with a marine railway of 50-ton capacity, fitted with a hydraulic lift system, allowing for flexibility in safe hauling of boats up to 80,000 lbs.

Our core services include hauling, inside and outside storage, launching, rental of docks and moorings, storage lockers, bottom prep, and painting, as well as boat/trailer storage. We also offer preferred services such as on-site work shop, shrink wrapping, wooden boat repairs, fiberglass repairs, outboard and stern drive repairs, bright work, marine electrical and electronics service, rigging, sail repairs, and metal work.

That's why we have partnered with some of the best service providers in the industry, including Tern Boatworks, Michele Stevens Sailloft Ltd., Lunenburg Marine Surveys, PremiereSea Limited, and Ernst Mobile Marine Diesel Repair. Our Preferred Service Providers offer a range of services, from boat repair and maintenance to sailmaking and marine surveying.
Marina Location and Service
Gold River Marina has received praise for its location and service. Authors Vic De Beer and Richard Power have both given the marina a 5-star rating, citing its suitability for haul-out and winter storage. Darren, the marina manager, is described as "super" and "always very friendly, accommodating and helpful". Staff at the marina are also commended for being "very helpful" and "responsive", treating customers' boats like their own.
Limitations
However, both reviewers have noted some limitations to the marina's services. Vic De Beer mentions that the nearest hardware store is a significant distance away, and the nearest chandler (a store that specializes in boating hardware) is even further away. Additionally, dock space and moorings are limited, and anchoring is not available in the protected area.
