Simpson & Associates LLP is a law firm dedicated to helping businesses and business owners in Sherwood Park, Alberta, and the surrounding areas. Our founder, Randy Simpson, has over 20 years of experience counseling, managing, and owning businesses. We believe that businesses are most successful when they are managed proactively rather than on a "crisis-by-crisis" basis. Unfortunately, many businesses wait to involve legal counsel until the crisis becomes critical.

Our services include advising and developing effective business structures, trademark registration, restructuring business organizations, franchise review, commercial financing, and contract drafting and review.

Civil Litigation

Our civil litigation practice group regularly appears in the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Queen's Bench. We represent clients in a wide range of disputes, including divorce and common-law separation, parenting and guardianship, financial support for children, spouses, and partners, annulment, enforcement and variation of court orders, breach of contract claims, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and registration and enforcement of builders' liens.

Faye P. Nicolas, our new Associate, recently joined us from British Columbia. She attended law school at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Faye joined Simpson & Associates LLP in November 2023 and practices in the area of civil litigation.

Jason Latorre joined Simpson & Associates LLP as an Associate in 2023. His practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate transactions, wills and estates administration, and contract review and drafting.

Alex Kubish joined Simpson & Associates LLP as an associate lawyer in 2020. His practice focuses on family law and civil litigation.

Paul McWilliams joined Simpson & Associates LLP in August 2018. His clients are from various industries, including construction and trades, non-profit, transportation, commercial property owners, various professions, mining, and oilfield services.

Randy Simpson is a partner and co-founder of Simpson & Associates LLP. He conducts a general practice and particularly enjoys working with families and small and medium-sized businesses to find solutions.
