Minor Ailments

As of January 1, 2023, Ontario pharmacists will have the authority to prescribe medications for a range of minor ailments, including allergic rhinitis, oral thrush, and urinary tract infections. This expansion of pharmacists' scope of practice aims to provide patients with more convenient and accessible healthcare options, and help ease the burden on other parts of the healthcare system.

At our pharmacy, we are excited to offer this new service to our patients. Our experienced pharmacists are trained to assess and diagnose minor ailments, and can provide appropriate treatment or referrals as needed.
