With a fire pit available at each campsite and free firewood, you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature while enjoying the warmth and comfort of a roaring fire. Our cabins come equipped with table and chairs, and a spacious six-foot deck, providing you with a cozy and comfortable retreat. The campground offers free showers, WiFi, and access to flush toilets and fresh drinking water, ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable camping experience.
Excellent Camping Facilities
Meat Cove Campground offers a variety of camping options to suit your needs. Our campsites, available on a first-come, first-serve basis, are $40+tax per night. If you prefer a more luxurious camping experience, our Chalet Guesthouse is a three-bedroom oceanfront guesthouse that can accommodate six guests and comes equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and a private patio with a hot tub. Our cabins, available for reservations starting June 1st, are $125+tax per night. With a maximum capacity of 30 tent sites, our campground is now open for the season.

Our shower house has hot running water, and our camp cabins have table and chairs for your convenience. Our Chalet Guesthouse features a cozy kitchenette and a full deck overlooking the ocean. Flush toilets, walking trails, and a food truck are also available on the campground.
History of Meat Cove
Meat Cove gets its unusual name from its early history as a popular location for hunters to dress animal carcasses. The village is located on the northern tip of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, and is surrounded by the majestic Cape Breton Highlands and the Atlantic Ocean.
