Nestled along the picturesque shores of De Mamiel Creek and the Sooke River, the Sooke River Campground offers a tranquil and scenic camping experience just a short 45-minute drive from downtown Victoria. Our campground is owned and operated by the Sooke Community Association, and we pride ourselves on offering a well-maintained, quiet, and family-friendly setting for our guests to enjoy.

Camping Choices for Everyone

We offer a variety of camping choices to suit every need, from shady powered RV campsites and tent campsites to 3 rustic cabins. Our campground is wheelchair accessible, and we have wheelchair accessible washrooms with coin-operated hot showers. For the convenience of our guests, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit, and cash.

Amenities and Activities

At the Sooke River Campground, we are committed to making your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We offer a range of amenities, including a Children's playground, picnic area, and Clubhouse, free wireless access, a sanitation dump station, and security gate and lighting. We also have a boat launch for water access to the river, where you can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding. On-site firewood and ice are available for purchase, and our campground managers are on-site full-time to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.

For families and groups, we have an event space that can accommodate large group camping and family reunions. The nearby town of Sooke offers a range of amenities, including restaurants, shops, and attractions, and is just a short drive away.
