At the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance (CMBA), we've been passionate about creating and maintaining sustainable singletrack trails in the Calgary and Kananaskis area for over 25 years. Our mission is to build and maintain world-class trails, skills parks, and promote a vibrant mountain biking community. We're committed to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all trail users.

Our Story

Founded in 1996, the CMBA has been a key player in shaping the mountain biking scene in Calgary. Over the years, we've shifted our focus to meet the evolving needs of our community, from advocating for access to trails to building and maintaining sustainable singletrack routes. Today, we're proud to say that we've built and improved numerous trails in areas across the city, including the popular Ridgeback trail in Kananaskis.

Our Work

We're constantly working to develop new trails, maintain existing ones, and ensure that our trails meet the highest standards of sustainability and safety. We collaborate with local government agencies, land managers, and community organizations to achieve our goals. Whether it's clearing deadfall, building bridges, or constructing new trails, our members are always up for a challenge.
